Refund and Cancellation Policy

This page explains what Jyotim costs, how to cancel, and when we refund. It summarises Section 8 of our Terms of Service; if the two ever differ, the Terms apply.

1. What is free, and what is paid

Jyotim is free to download. Guided pujas, mantra jaap, paath and shubh tithi reminders can be used without paying; the free version is supported by advertising.

Jyotim Select is our paid subscription. It removes advertising and unlocks the detailed kundli report and its upaay plan. Everything is digital and delivered inside the app — we sell no physical goods, so nothing is shipped.

2. Plans and prices

All prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes.

PlanPriceRenews
Introductory trial (first-time users only)₹1 for 24 hoursthen ₹499 every 3 months
Quarterly₹399 every 3 monthsautomatically, until you cancel
Weekly₹99 every weekautomatically, until you cancel

The introductory trial is offered once per person and once per device. The quarterly and weekly plans are for users who have already had the trial. The purchase screen always shows what you pay today, what you will be charged next, and on which date — the price shown when you subscribe is the price that applies.

You can pay through Google Play, or through our payment partner with UPI AutoPay or a card mandate.

3. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops all future charges.

Cancelling in the app vs removing the mandate. You can also remove the AutoPay mandate in your bank or UPI app. That stops future debits, but it does not refund or shorten a period you have already paid for — you keep access until that period ends, exactly as if you had cancelled in the app.

During a paid quarter or week: you keep Jyotim Select until the end of the period you have already paid for. No refund is given for the current period, and nothing further is charged. A period counts as delivered once it starts: the paid features open the moment the payment succeeds.

During the trial: the trial lasts 24 hours from the moment your payment is set up — the moment your UPI AutoPay or card mandate is approved in your UPI or bank app. (On Google Play, the trial lasts for the period Google shows on its purchase screen.) Cancel before the trial ends and the ₹499 charge is never made. The paid features end straight away when you cancel, and the ₹1 trial charge is not refunded.

If you do not cancel, ₹499 is collected after the trial ends — never before. As the rules for payment mandates require, you are notified before that amount is debited.

If a renewal payment fails, we may try it again. Until it succeeds the paid features may pause and you may be moved back to the free version — we never retry at a different price.

4. Refunds

Paid through Google Play: refunds follow Google Play's refund policy, and requests go to Google.

Paid through our payment partner: if you were charged in error — for example a duplicate debit, a renewal after you cancelled, or a payment that went through when the app failed to deliver what you paid for — write to support@jyotim.com within 7 days of the charge, with the payment reference. Where the claim is correct, we refund to the original payment method within 5–7 working days of approval.

Apart from these cases, a billing period that has started is not refunded.

5. Contact

Write to support@jyotim.com with your payment reference for anything about a charge, a cancellation or a refund. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 working days.
